BR -- I don't think you'll ever see the "retard employees" at CSCO (as you so gracefully called them on the CSCO thread) miss revenue expectations by more than 10%? (!!!) Also, I don't call a CEO explaining the current mess, but also warning of SLOWER growth NEXT quarter is very confident or upbeat. You are naive if you believe that this significant, 3Com-esque (actually worse than 3Com) miss is largely due to LU's inability to meet demand for all of its "hot products." For all the accusations you and MM lay on CSCO as being a big spin machine, this piece of work from LU/McGinn takes the prize. You just don't miss by over $1 billion because in large part you can't meet OC-192 demand. What's the current year's total market estimates for OC-192? LU is covering up significant weakness in its "traditional" businesses.

<All LU/ASNDers, hang in there for the ride from 50-100 in year 2000 with some major bumps. Those with patience and wisdom should prevail.> McGinn screwed us. He knew the deal last quarter. I should have sold all when LU bought Ascend. I listened to the CC. Sure McGinn sounds OK. He had better try and spin this or He's out. I hope he sounds good tomorrow AM on CNBC. I wasn't surprised when Dell warned last year, but I am still in a state of shock over this warning. Wish I could sell, but I'm not dumb enough to sell into the panic. Sure 100.00 by years end is doable, but 120 by April with a split announcement was what I wanted. Completely Blindsided and Pissed Off, Pat Hughes
