again, I am not saying the correction is over and that the semi's are done correcting to the downside and can lead from here.

My point is that in 1998 if we look at this group of stocks ,
dell, wcom, lu, csco, yhoo, amzn.

they all corrected into the august 31 1998 low .

amzn and yhoo made higher lows on the 10-8-98 low and did not get below their 200 dma's .

dell, lu, csco and wcom all did get below their 200 day ma in oct and made lower lows than in late aug.

amzn and yhoo made higher lows had less of a price decline and then had the biggest price % gain in the following 8 months.

on a % basis they made dell, csco, lu and wcom look like they were covered wagon makers.

there were other stocks in the yhoo and amzn zone.....rnwk is another that fits the profile... there are a lot more but this is from memory.

csco went on to make one a good % return but obviously not as good as yhoo.
