Incorrect. You are assuming that the "plenty of time" the market gave us to buy was available to us mortals. Look, this kind of stuff doesn't happen in a vacuum. Yeah, I know EVERYONE on this thread waited until 3:30 today to buy. NO ONE bought over the last three days because we are all such perfect timers...please. And the assumption that we could have sold at the high... gag me with a spoon! And while I'm at it, I'm not sure I want to play around with money I owe people...especially Uncle Sam...but wait, I could reinvest it all and sell at the high on two days before tax day and pay even more taxes the next year. Cranky? Who's cranky? Oh my GOD, my favorite cheese is on sale. I LOVE THAT ONE. Count Dracula (he was always around gypsies, right?)
