You're right. I should use trailing earnings to predict a stock's price based on a PE ratio!

On another note, I do agree with you in that there will be a trend to integrate flash memory on die with processors and other microcontrollers for the use in portable digital appliances. This should help Intel (since they have the low power ARM) and hurt commodity flash suppliers -- such as AMD. However, the unit explosion of portable devices that benefit from flash cards for unlimited storage, like digital cameras and music players, should provide buyers for all the flash that AMD can make for the foreseeable future (two years).
