Thanks, Biker. That was an excellent Gorilla analysis of CREE. Very encouraging to my little CREE starter kit.

Excellent report on cree. I'm becoming impressed by this company's potential, not only their LEDs but also their FETs (Field Effect Transistors). I still wonder about how difficult it would be to produce SiC with processes other than cree's but that don't violate their patents. This report claims cree is six years ahead on that, which might be, but it seems that if the profit potential is that high the Japanese or Koreans could compress that in half.

I'm familiar with how important it is to conserve weight and power in satellites and aircraft, so that would be a natural market for SiC products. And cellular screens are also power critical, so mobile applications are another natural.

Thanks for the DD!
