I think the gov't is itching to regulate people who are day trading. The media laid the ground work by repeating over and over again how 90% lose all their money. With TJ, they're showing that people who listen to the gurus are being used. Next, we'll hear that any major sell off is due to day traders bidding stocks too high.

Day traders:

First dangerous to themselves. Second dangerous to their peers. Third dangerous to the entire community.

And sometimes they go on shooting sprees (Atlanta).

Who benefits? Going after TJ - and I'm not a member of SA - is part of the slippery slope to regulate what we do. JMHO
