(COMTEX) B: COMPUTRON SIGNS DEAL WITH TELAPEX TO LICENSE NEW INTERNET
B: COMPUTRON SIGNS DEAL WITH TELAPEX TO LICENSE NEW INTERNET SOLUTIONS

RUTHERFORD, NJ, Jan 12, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Computron Software,
Inc. (AMEX: CFW), a leading global provider of Internet business
process automation software, today announced that it has signed an
agreement with Telapex, Inc. to license solutions from Computron's
newly formed Business Process Solutions Group and its AXSPoint
Solutions Division.

The new applications will play a key role in Telapex' goal to move
towards increasing customer satisfaction and employee efficiency via
Internet-based technology solutions that better enable existing
business processes.

The privately held Jackson, MS-based company is parent to several
companies within the telecommunications industry, including companies
providing cellular, local phone, cable television, long-distance and
internet services. Many of these companies have had exceptional growth
in the past few years as Telapex continues to add to its offering in
the highly competitive telecommunications marketplace.

By implementing Computron's solutions, Telapex will provide its users
with a thin-client solution, with zero-based administration, that
offers cost-effective and quick deployment of Computron applications
throughout the enterprise.

"We're growing at such a phenomenal rate that quick implementation and
zero administration user roll-out are essential to managing our
organization," said Larry Morrison, Telapex Chief Financial Officer.
"Computron's solutions provide Telapex with the needed functionality to
achieve a rapid return on our investment in new companies and markets."

Computron's Business Process Solutions will virtually eliminate the
need for paper requisitions and purchase orders while shortening the
transaction life cycle, enabling knowledge workers to deal with
exceptions as opposed to traditional transactions. It is the first step
towards the licensing and implementation of Computron's TransAXS(TM)
Procurement solution later in 2000 which will allow the firm to embrace
the power of Internet shopping and buying to further reduce the cost of
the purchasing process.

With Computron's AXSPoint Solutions, the Telapex customer service
department will gain the ability to view customer bills on-line,
thereby providing better, more timely and accurate service. The
ultimate goal with the AXSPoint Solutions is to provide customers with
access to their statements/bills via a browser, offering a true
self-service operation and helping the company move closer to its
vision of a paperless office.

This latest contract with Computron marks the continuing expansion of
Telapex' use of Computron applications. The two companies began working
together in 1995.

"Computron's long-standing partnership with Telapex is illustrative of
our ability to provide our customers with mission-critical technologies
that enable them to better achieve their individual business goals,"
said John Rade, Computron CEO. "Evolving to a web-based environment is
a challenge that faces many of our customers, and our Business Process
Solutions and AXSPoint Solutions are a key component in helping
accelerate that change."
