Good point and good question for the company. But apparently Epic has their reasons and maybe they should be the ones to ask since they are apparently putting up the money. I think maybe one of the reasons is that there isn't really a hell of a lot of difference between them for learning. I have both and continue to use the computer that has Office 97. Once you know how to use it, learning anything new on Office 2000 is inconsequential. Just speculating here,but seems to possibly make sense for them.

Perhaps the per-license cost of Office 97 training is only a fraction of the per-license cost of training for Office 2000.
