Joe, more than irrational exuberance i would call the current action "collective madness", featuring the crap league resurrecting
once more from the junkyard and gateway soaring after having screwed up.

No wonder that amd is still 30 bucks or so.


How about Red Hat going up $40 or so a share on Wednesday because of the Internet appliance that will use Linux announcement by Intel. There is no guarantee that any of those appliances will sell, Intel, Linux, or whatever notwithstanding. The Internet appliance, Internet PC, Web TV, thin client, Sun-Ray type products haven't yet shown they can sell squat.

Yeah, yeah, I missed the boat on Red Hat, but not because I didn't know about them well before their IPO.
