Agreed, but it still helps me to see trends better than the earnings reports. Earnings is such a fictitious number anyway. I don't look at specific numbers as much as I do trends. So when I see that Cisco has trended up for as far back as I care to go, then the latest quarter Op CFLs decreased, that to me is a warning flag. It could be a temporary blip, but it puts me on heightened alert at any rate. This type of trend analysis is harder with NT & LU, since their statements are all over the map. But the fact that they are all over the map at least points to management's inability to manage the firm's cashflows or their willingness to sacrifice cashflows for short term market share gains. I guess we'll see which is true in the coming years. Good luck!
