EBI issued a new update on IMPCO Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMCO - news) and raised its rating from a Buy to a Strong Buy. EBI noted that IMCO will continue to exploit its leadership position as a provider of gaseous fuel components to augment worldwide alternative fuel initiatives aimed at reducing automobile emissions and oil dependence amongst both industrial and developing nations. EBI sees IMCO's core business as positioned to grow revenues in excess of 20% annually for the next several years and EPS at even faster rates. In addition, EBI believes that IMCO has developed technologies, which will play a major role in the augmentation of coming fuel cell propulsion technologies. EBI believes that companies like Ballard Power Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: BLDP - news), in conjunction with major automotive manufacturers, have developed viable fuel cell propulsion offerings which will result in the commercialization of hydrogen powered cars for the 2004 model year. In this regard, EBI added that the major offerings IMCO will provide to the fuel cell propulsion equation are onboard fuel tanks, gaseous fuel injectors, electronics, algorithms and software, which will support the efforts of fuel cell propulsion development companies like Ballard Power.
