<<Why bother doing this crap?>>

Agreed!

I've only started shorting stocks a year ago, I have to say, it's a waste of time. Nothing like a buy (solid companies,) and hold strategy.

I shorted LU because I saw the writing on the wall. When you follow the market for a period of time, you start to develop instincts. However, like you stated, this market is not rational and I just didn't want to get burned. Some of these companies are moving based on Press release alone.

<<I like your investments in NOK and BRCM. I hope you held onto them>>

I sold them this week and bought CAT, MO, IP, S, KM per CNBC.

NOT!!!

Been long NOK for year and half, CSCO since Feb '97, JDSU recently, DELL, FFIV, AMGN, and of course IOM. Needless to say, I have no plans on selling anytime soon.

I have to admit that I totally agree with Allen, info can be exchanged and be helpful to each other, however, when one is constantly rude it's hard to take them seriously.

Never mind ROBV (I saw the symbol accross the ticker and couldn't believe it,) When you recommended EXDS, cost basis would be $20 today. I didn't take you seriously 'cause the way you come across through your posts.

I've noticed over the last 6 to 12 months that many message boards have become productive and posters collaberate rather than being used to act childish and immature.

Maybe we can use this board in a collabrative sense that will benfit all regardless of how one views IOM. We've hung around each other for years, why not benfit from the "relationship" we've developed?

Besides NOK, JDSU is, IMO, the DELL of this decade. If you look at the company's chart on clearstation, clearstation.com you'd notice that there hasn't been a sell signal the past 12 months. The growth is just statrting to take place.

What your take on FFIV?

This week's volitality was gut wrenching. LU's warning dragged much of my port yesterday and thought the shit would definately hit the fan toady.

R-O-L-A-I-D-S!!!
