Bull-market.com should be bullshit.com.

We hereby add JDS Uniphase to our Broadband Portfolio. Here's what they do: JDS Uniphase Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and markets components and modules for fiber optic telecommunications and cable television (CATV) systems, laser subsystems and laser-based semiconductor wafer defect examination and analysis equipment. Their telecommunications and CATV divisions design, develop, manufacture and market semiconductor lasers, high-speed external modulators, transmitters and other components for fiber optic networks.

The long and the short of it is that they are in the exploding fiber optic networking business and their revenues grew from $230 million, up from $57 million in the last quarter. Losses continue but we look for profitability this calendar year. The current price is $163, well under
its all time high of $189, set earlier this week.

These idiots don't even bother to read the annual report! JDSU is profitable. Just because they wrote off a huge amount based on research programs started by acquired companies and terminated by JDSU doesn't mean jack about their core business. It's pretty much of an accounting quirk as I see it.

Just shows you what kind of morons are out there posing as stock gurus.

Thanks for the quote from BullMarket.com. What else is in their "broadband portfolio" besides JDSU and NT?
