The bottom line is that both of us realized that we're already paying the same rate as we would pay with Cricket, and our present Airtouch service doesn't allow for unlimited local wireless minutes, which Cricket does (oh I wish Cricket would come to town!)

I think you may have a really long wait....at least for now it seems like Leap will be concentrating on rolling out in small to mid sized cities. These markets are underserved by other wireless companies and provide an opportunity to deploy service with a lot fewer base stations than would be needed for LA/Chicago/NY. It's a pretty big market on it's own and I dont know if Leap will try and deploy into the larger cities.

I havent looked closely at the financials but the sub numbers from Chatanooga are amazing....7% penetration in 9 months is incredible. The overall penetration rate of the entire US is between 25-30%....and communities like Chatanooga are probably under the national average. It will be interesting to see how Cricket does in a larger city like Nashville which presumably has a higher penetration rate....
