I bought in at 44.5 and 42.5.

Afraid to catch the falling knife so I stopped there.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda!

Gilder said that? I just subscribed to his tech letter last night. How can fibre channel be dead when it is just emerging? A lot of people follow him blindly. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the cause of the fall.

jon,

I would probably add that the trading dynamics of the stock come into play. Does anyone really know why the shorts took a pounding last fall? I certainly don't, anymore than why the longs are taking a pounding today. The news from the company - whether you think there is too little or not is not a factor. I have always posted my opinion here that the message boards here or on Yahoo are almost completely irrelevant to how the stock trades. That was true for the shorts who posted rumors and negatives about the stock and now it has longs doubting some of their positions. In the uncertainty that surrounds speculative high tech stocks, various theories creep in to fill the vacuum. The people with the big money always seem to take the stock for a ride in situations like this - and to their advantage. This is true not just for Ancor, but just about every other high tech stock I have owned.

I don't believe anything about Ancor until I see it from a reliable source. If anyone has material news that should have caused the drop - I invite them to post it immediately so we all can sell. The only relevant information I have is a response to the question I posted yesterday about the from 144s. Someone posted me today saying they had not seen any filed by Ancor insiders and I would welcome any corroboration or differing opinions on that.
