Gabriel, where have you heard the rumor? Is CNBC or Bloomberg commenting on Dell at all today?

Hi Gabriel...CNBC just reported that those (rumors) are "out there"...however, being still early in the quarter (probably 40% or more of biz to go)..it would seem unlikely that even Dell knows (at this pt.) if they are going to make the quarter...so it seems unlikely they are tipping anyone...........Seems HIGHLY LIKELY that shorts are picking on Dell today..with the rumors....(Microsoft, same thing, yesterday)..HOWEVER, because of the....I'll call them "fiascos" with Niles last Feb...and the (in my mind, much bigger error) last October...the market is simply unforgiving with Dell right now.......rumors stick.......it is simply not a darling right now......although still viewed in high-esteem.........while it true Dell's (excellent) management deserved a bit of a hit (because of those two incidences)...I am amazed at how the Street gives CARTE BLANCHE to guys like Larry Ellison..who have done much worse than Dell's management (out-and-out lies)....yet, Oracle is currently a "darling"...and all is believed..ditto Sun...

It can not be underestimated how difficult the PC biz...although Dell does a great job...there is probably more risk for error (than many)..and therefore the Street's suspicion...the results of 1996, 1997, and 1998 covered up what was almost "nirvana" type environment for Dell..even still, Dell will have a good year (again)...if we can return 40% given all the cr@p of last year...that wouldn't seem to unrealistic for this year...

Another leak (like Niles, last year) would be a terrible mistake, IMO....

Are you back in (the market) full-time?
