How do you think he got his nick name, Asshok?

Pravin,

<Kumar's $1B projection is a setup! He wants to be able to say, "see the Clown Company couldn't even meet revenue projections." While at the same time covering his butt with a more conservative earnings projection of $0.05. This guy is a complete flake.>

As we have discussed on this thread many times $1B is not a long shot at all. I am sure AMD benefitted partly from Gateway's lack of Celeron/PIII SKUs. (probably mostly through CPQ)

The only burning question that I have is what is the split between Athlons and K6s. I will go way out on the limb and say that there is a good shot that the upside from K6s is massive (I am thinking there could have been 6Mu+ K6s that got shipped in Q4).

Chuck

P.S.: Look out - we may print 33 today!

Pravin - RE: "This guy is a complete flake."

It's nice to see we can see through his BS.

As you hinted, his numbers add up in no way that makes sense. But what else could we have expected from him...

Pravin, <Kumar's $1B projection is a setup!>

Interesting thought. So if AMD exceed the $1B projection, Kumar will take credit for calling it, but if AMD fails to meet it, Kumar will blame AMD for not living up to expectations. Is that the way you see it?

Well, INTC has its fair share of manipulative analysts, so I guess AMD needs at least one as well.

Hi Pravin:

Agreed! If AMD does $1 billion in revenues in Q4, look for eps well north of my current estimate of $0.32...like multiple(s) north!
