JDN, guy talking down about SUNW, I saw that speaker. He was a value stock investor as I recall. No one would presently accuse SUNW of being a
value stock at current multiples. But George Gilder sees SUNW as one of the leaders in the industry and I agree with George.
You can find anyone to say anything. I didnt like any of his selections, Jeez some shitty little bank or something?? JDN

I know, I never heard of the guy either. My point is that, once they start talking that way, it can proliferate, put a lot of FUD on the company, and seriously damage a high flying stock. We've seen it happen with IBM (Y2K), EMC (HP "dropping" them), Intel (we can all think of something), many more. I check out the SUNW thread every now and then. They pooh-pooh IBM, CPQ, HP and Intel as competitors. They keep their head in the sand worse than any thread except maybe Dell. Believe me, Sun development people DO NOT POOH-POOH Intel. In fact, they DO talk about Sun using Intel chips. Just an option, and development people always should look at all reasonable options. I mentioned that over there once and got the bums' rush.

How well known is George Gilder?
