>>>They should be back end loaded this quarter and they have three weeks to run<<< Sounds like you took a page from Earl Mason's book on that one! jajajaja May be too early to warn, but with more than 2/3 of the Q and the Christmas season gone, it's sure not too early for rumors and where there's smoke, there very well could be fire. The stock's recent action should give you a clue. Do you think the stock is sluggish cause things are great? I smell fear in your recent posts. El

Jim, I called Investor Relations asking them to monitor the situation and consider any action that may be helpful.

Jim- I am not panicking...I've held Dell since April '98 (as you know) and plan to hold much longer....I merely stated I was disappointed with today's performance...and still am, given the great Naz day (its hard not to be)....As I concluded, it was likely just short-sellers floating rumors..but were Dell a "hotter" stock..the rumors would have had less effect (would not have stuck)....Dell (stock) is obviously no longer the Dell (stock) of '98, '97..but a great stock to own nonetheless....

I think we should debate what's going on...on a day in which the stock is DOWN 4%, and the Naz is UP 4%...how often is there a 8% (negative) difference between the two?

I am still looking for 65-70 by this time next year...
