Their Unity product was developed in MSFT'S labs.
It will be released as part of Win 2000 in Feb.

Unity is a Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R)-based communications server that delivers voice mail, fax, and unified messaging in a truly unified environment. Unity gives users the ability to access voice, fax, and e-mail messages from their desktop PC, via touchtone telephone, or over the Internet. Unity's superior "true unified messaging" architecture minimizes installation, administration, and support costs -- making life easier for system administrators and lowering an organization's total cost of ownership. Unity is "convergence-ready" and will simultaneously support both Internet Protocol (IP) and traditional telephone systems -- making it a smart investment for organizations planning to embrace IP telephony.

Expenses were in line with management's expectations," David added.
