So it seems to be down to an Apple vs Windows, or Betamax vs VHS battle.

That's what people think it is, but not really.

It is like a company competing in the PC Market with a CPU that can't run faster than 100 mg against a company that has a CPU that runs at 400 mg.

The company with the 100 mg can never run at any faster rate, but they presently have the market sewed up. They can add power boosts, and special effects, to tweak the CPU, but they can't change the limit.

The present market is primitive enough that a 100 mg machine keeps the customer happy now.

That is where TDMA is against CDMA.

RM, I would be surprised if T actually goes with TDMA. I remember someone on this thread told a story about running into some T engineers working on that "Angle" project or something like that which would combine TDMA and HDR. Apparently when asked, the guys would not confirm the story.

I think it was Jon but I am not sure. So I guess we will have to wait and see.

Ma.

PS Could you give me the specific posts you have read on GPRS/Egde or the months when they were discussed.
