49 would make it a 2N, but the engine serial number starts with a 9 on those anyway. They introduced the 2N in 1942 so they could get away with a price hike during the war by calling it a new model. There are extremely few differences, though.

That desert racing sure does look fun to me. When I watch you guys on TV, it looks like you're always just about 5% on the wrong side of being in control. I'd guess if you finish with unsoiled clothing, you were going too slow?
