Hello all! I return with more observations about this thread. Sorry to have kept you waiting, but I have to earn a living in the market, too. So I can only drop in during off-hours. Seems I'm not the only one fascinated with this board. I think it's because there is such an interesting social phenomenon taking place here. Most (all?) other threads are just people jiving with each other about stocks. But here we find this tight little group forming into a society unto themselves, and soon to go off with their leader into a little sanctum (private room) insulated from the evils of the world. I'm sorry, but I just can't help being captivated with this idea. It's the sociologist in me. My topic tonight (not cults) is to comment on some of your comments: Some of us are trying to save for our children's college, to pay off our mortgage, ..." I hope your leader has sternly told you that you should not be playing in the stock market (especially via an internet chat line) with such important money. The stock market is only for money you can afford to lose. If you insist on day-trading with your children's college money ... at least insist that they work hard on their homework to give them a better shot at a scholarship. ...there is nothing better than our second family here in this room. Usually you know what your family members look like. You can hear their voices, look them in the eyes, things like that. The nice thing about a family is that you can count on it in times of need. If you really think you are part of a family here, try this experiment: Tell the other members of your second family that an emergency has come up, and that you need each of them to lend you $100 for a short while. Try it just for the fun of it. Then tell the rest of us what happened. "WE BELIEVE! er, this is going to send me back to cults again. I'll let it go. Seems like you all had a good week in the market.
