The same thing happened to myself (I almost responded to Christopher H's post...on a similar note).

I had a buy order for 10,000 shares and then the price proceeded to drop 15% (with NO execution) ...I sat there for 10 minutes agonizing...and then I decided to "cancel" the order--the order finally cancelled 15 minutes later.

Maybe its just the downside of these discount brokers...

Anyhow, still long and strong from waaay back:) I'm loving how the story continues to develop.

For the number of shares out on this stock it trades very illiquid. Fills are really slow and limit orders are mostly not filled. When it dropped into the 5's today I tried to buy some and they would not fill my order at all. Then I put in an order at the bid to sell some in the 7's and they dropped the bid and did not fill a share.

MM's are playing with this one big time.

As far as not filling the order, the market makers are only committed to fill the number of shares that they are showing. For this stock they have to bid at least 500 shares and that is always what they bid. So they can fill 500 shares of your order and then back away. I am very surprised that they filled 13k shares. They must have had a chunk to sell or the would have filled a lot less and backed away.
