dayinvestor.com LPTHA has minority ownership of LightChip, which is making optical chips for DWDM and wavelength routers. Received financing from Morganthler, JP Morgan, and ATT. And, of course, friend Gilder mentioned the importance of photonics, etc. Have seen it mentioned also on many threads here, has advanced from $9 or so to the 20s very quickly. I don't really understand all this technical jargon, but at least I can see that light is the way to go in the future.
