here is a good illustration of a quote that many people, upon first read, interpret as very negative. yet, if you read it a few times, and consider what the author's intent may really be, you discover that it could be one of the most eloquent things a man could say to his true love...

of your useless and pointless knowledge


so many people think that's a put down line. that he is telling her she is full of useless and pointless knowledge. i don't see it that way. i see where we all have within us some useless and pointless knowledge. and this man wants nothing more than to give her the gift of clarity of thought, and to wash away her pain with what he knows best, and all that he possesses... his song. i am astounded by the depth of the lyric.
