This was a smart move for Small Caps to put this out now just before the big guys run with it.

Great article! I especially like this: "Due to its rich patent portfolio, its strong corporate partners, and its
multiple applications and streams of revenues, we feel that competitors of ACTV and other
companies positioned in the digital television space (such as Liberate, Wink, Worldgate
and TiVo) do not have nearly as much potential as ACTV."

Intersting post from RB's Amazon board. It exemplifies a major difference between Actv and them.

You guys just dont get it amzn with its hundreds of billions of dollars is not building a name brand. Name brands like mercedes say something about the product. People want Mercedes because they feel prestige and confidence in owning one. Amzn, wmt,or egghead are mindshares. There is a great article about this in the red herring. If people have to settle for a ford instead of a Mercedes they feel like something is bad or lacking. Thats because they choose one name brand over the other. But if someone chooses to buy a sony tv at either walmart or amazon they dont feel badly about where they got it. Thats because Sony is the name brand not amazon or wmt. Amzn has spent hundreds of millions of dollars for mindshare. It wont amount to much in the future. Soon everyone will have a browser which tells you where you can get every product the cheapest. People wont care if they buy the product at amzn or walmart. They will want to get the best price. This was once a great stock to own. Its time has passed.

Though I've asked about this before and it's probably been posted here and on RB many times, I've decided to figure out, for myself, once and for all, the similarities, differences, competitive advantages & disadvantages of all the players in this game, (IATV, WINK, TIVO, WGAT, LBRT, GMST, etc.) who interelates and how. I've just started to get into the Gorilla Game stuff and want to begin to determine who's who in this space.

My first stop on my research tour was the SI company profiles, where I discover IATV under the category "Communications Equipment." I think it's been discussed, but is that the right/best category for this company?

FWIW, WINK is also under Comm. Equp, TIVO & WGAT: Broadcasting & Cable, LBRT: Software & programming and GMST: Audio & Video.

My question to the thread is about IATV's category and are the other players categorized properly?

On my"mission" to sort out the bigger picture for myself, if anyone can offer guidance, such as useful links to informative posts and websites, feel free to PM me as I do not want to be a "thread clogger."

Thanks in advance.

-Leslie
