Dear Arno: Going fast just breaks things and usually causes body damage
I second that, in fact the extreme offroading I do is always in low gear and low 4wheel drive. Average speed probably about 3mph and even slower over boulders, like CRAWL speed. haha. Typical trail less then 20 miles long and an all day trip often. But when you see what these vehicles are capable of it is a thing of beauty. A properly set up Jeep can go places a Horse, motorcyle or even a person walking could not negotiate. If you have ever seen those commercials where a Grand Cherokee goes over a pile of boulders to enter an Estate Gate I can tell you I have gone over WORSE in my Grand Cherokee. JDN
