are you saying that the 60% of the population in chattanooga is highly concentrated? that is, 40% of the pop is in scattered areas? what does "building for capacity" mean? here in orange county there are over a milion people. southern california. cities like Irvine, Newport Beach, very populated areas. Why wouldn't Leap's service be profitable here? I don't understand this. Yes, we have cellular competitors, but so what? the competition is the wireline companies, the outdated baby bells, no???
let's rip the phones out of the walls! The local bells are the problem and the first to target in my opinion.
What do you think?

lance, per J.Seines, IR at Leap, San Diego is an ideal market for Cricket roll-out. And san Diego is certainly no small town (anymore!).

also, for anybody - what percentage of Cricket users are completely replacing their wireline phones? that is, not just replacing one phone in the house (eg. buying one for a teenager), but rather ripping out the wires entirely ?

I think I read in a White interview that the number was around 60%, but this seems high to me.
