What the heck is this " AMZN threat to WMT "; "WMT threat to AMZN" thing going on on this thread ??

Get over it everyone- WMT and AMZN have different, distinct customer bases that only partly overlap!!! Retail 101 !!

Wal-Mart stock up 75% this year. AMZN up 0%. Obviously, they are different !! Take note all!

geeez.

OT- quote feed experiences and online brokers

Does anyone have recommendations for real-time quote feeds that has:

1) up-time of over 99%

2) is accessible over standard telephone lines

3) will give streaming real-time quotes on multiple tickers?

Also, I am moving my accounts from Datek- tired of poor executions, spotty customer service, and streamer that is more unreliable than reliable. Main criteria for online broker for me:

1) ability to do option trading

2) fast executions of market orders and good fills of limit orders

3) uptime of near 100%, especially at times of large trading volume.

I am thinking of Brown, but am not sure about criterion #3 with them. Thoughts? I am sure many on this tread are frustrated with their online brokers, so if you have any positive things to say about yours, please speak up!

What was the EPS for WMT when it was AMZNs age ???

WMT was always profitable.

WMT alone would never been any threat to AMZN...and I could have bet the bank on that
conviction...but I have to applaud their plan of a spin off, a separate legal entity with the VC
backing........in CA too !

Someone on this thread predicted this;-)
