Michael, I agree with you in one sense. My partner placed an order for 200 shares of Qcom and his M/L guy tried to cut him back to 100 shares. The price...$190 per share. On the other hand, their telecon analyst Michael Chinn has been very supportive of Q, at least over the last several months.

That's a pretty sweeping generalization. My PM @ Merrill talked to me more than once about buying QCOM when it was below 100. Did I listen to him? No. Do I wish I did? Yep. Didn't get in 'til much later. And by the way, he personally owns gobs of Q, as do his partners over there. So maybe it's just your Mom's broker that is anti Q and not ML as a whole.
