I like this guy too. Thanks for the introduction. I appreciate his detailed discussion of the stocks he is entering, holding, exiting and watching. His overview of recent market action isn't bad either:

<We are experiencing normal volatility in Internet stocks, so don't get excited. These companies move up or down 50% or so every 9 - 12 months. That's their normal annual trading range. They do it fast when they do it, and they've been doing it every year for nearly five years now. Get used to it.

<January 4, 2000: Get a Grip! No, it's not a bear market. Yes, it is a short term correction. Yes, we are getting killed. The reasons are technical (overbought), yearly pension plan rebalancings (sell what goes up the most, reallocate the proceeds into whatever didn't -
Wow! That's really bright), general worry about interest rates, and the Fed's soaking up the excess liquidity that we saw the last three months of 1999 due to Y2K concerns. I warned you this would happen a few weeks ago. I suspect we aren't done yet, either. Both funds are approaching 20% in cash, as I reported to you in December we would.

<On the other hand, nothing fundamental has changed. The economy is strong, the world economy is recovering, the Internet isn't going away, and the public is as optimistic as it has been in more than a generation. We are even seeing a resurgence in science fiction movies and novels, something that is typical of fundamental technological change, rising
living standards, and an optimistic outlook for the future.>
