From where I am from brown nosing kids usually got the snot beaten out of 'em. Then again New Yorkers are well known for their class acts, Third class! My family's survival is based on income and gains from investments in blue chip companies. When they fall over a one quarter blip and lose 30% in value that is cause for alarm and financial distress. How can anyone be amused over it? So bgg, your comment was totally unwarranted and warrants an apology! Luis - thks lad for the advice but how can I let go after this drubbing and jump on to a ship with a grossly bloated P/E? What will happen to them when sissy Chambers warns? NT is a canadian company that I would not invest a plug nickel in. I remember the days of good ole Northern Telecom and Bay networks. Man, what an awesome combo, huh? In summary, one quarters downfall does not change the year. McGinn said it and I believe it! If that were to change then a re-evaluation is needed. At this moment the broker who projected a $50 12 month target is nuts or a crook. I have been thru many pump and dump days along with the reverse. I wouldn't be surprised to find if his firm was buying at these levels. Lucent is a world class company. I believe they are owed the benefit of doubt this time around.
