>>Re: Simpsons vs Louis Rukeyser<<

Sig, Dude Man! I am sad to hear that you would pick Rukeyser over the Simpsons. In my humble opinion, Crusty the Clown delivers slightly more laughs than Alan Brian Bond.

The Simpsons in cartoon format have taught me more about the economy than Lou's comical Elves have ever delivered.

Take Homer, this lovable a*s scratcher represents the 'long and strong' crowd. Would Homer be a DellHead? I think he is. Where are the productivity gains in Homer's work? Would Homer even have a job in a recession?

Then there is Mr. Burns, Homer's boss who loves to give it to shareholders like Smithers....In a Direct Way.

Watching Mr. Burns try to eat Lisa's puppies or seeing him on the news covering up a nuclear spill provides insight into how CEO's operate in this great country.

I could go on...but in my jaded opinion, one Simpsons episode has more truth than a full season of Wall Street Week. Heck, I would hire Lisa Simpson as my accountant. I bet she could number crunch TV Touting Lou under the table.

Would love to see the scene where Lisa gives tech company accountants a lesson in morality.

I think the whole country is getting wasted at Moe's...and every TV dial is pointed to CnnFn. Will these drunks soon be in the Duff?
