For me, the proposition of investing in a King or an enabling gorilla candidate that has not enterred the tornado becomes less and less appealing the more we discuss this stuff.

Not sure I understand the above--does that mean you eschew kings even when they're making a lot of $? I can understand not taking a stake in an enabling gorilla candidate, or only taking a very small one (partly for the fun of it, but also to keep you on your toes so you keep a close watch on it), but I'm mystified why you'd stay away from kings.

Also JDSU is a mystery, some think of it as a hybrid. A royal ape! I tend to think of it as a king

Hi Merlin,

Then you also get into the discussion as to when the enabling Gorilla candidate actually entered the tornado versus the perceived time it entered; the same discussion we had awhile back on Q.

I for one have taken a small position in CREE, technically with some play money. I plan to watch and as we see for sure CREE entering a tornado, then I plan on jumping in with a much bigger position. At that point I will evaluate where JDSU is and decide if I want to change my position there.

JMHO,
Perceval

I have read Jill's and Percy's response to your conundrum.

I don't think we can generalize the answer to the question: King versus Gorilla-candidate. Seems we should look at this on a case by case basis. In fact, it really requires a matrix in the case of mulitple Kings versus multiple Gorilla-candidates.

But for now, my strategy is to ride JDSU with my current position, keep my CREE starter kit and be ready to start re-enforcing CREE with royalty profits when we see the tornado, if one forms.

This will require a great deal of diligence.
