Eric,

Sounds like you want to take a walk on the wild side :)

The plan would be to place a SOES market order for ~200 shares to buy a fast moving stock on the rise.

Seems to me that the changes you and others have described in SOES would make this strategy dangerous. Putting out a small SOES market order, while every who wants size is trying to use another path now, increases the likelihood of getting that first execution long before the reversal.
