Mark thanks for the Barron's article.

Hopefully, those on the thread that whine about CMGI not being ascribed the same valuation will read it.
Either CMGI is underpriced or ICGE is overpriced.
I think CMGI is priced appropriately with room to grow.

I'll let the market do what it wants with ICGE but I can see myself with some ICGE puts if available in a month or so.

Regards,

Mark, Thanks for the Barron's link. I just wish that they would do a little research before they write. I am long ICGE as well as CMGI and SFE. ICGE is probably somewhat over valued, SFE and CMGI somewhat undervalued.

As we all know, what you pay for an investment is not what determines it's worth. ICGE adds "intellectual capital" and management expertise to it's holdings.

In addition the lock-up will IMHO be a non-event. The shareholders who are restricted by the lock up are not likely to sell Comcast, Compaq, GE and SFE. The principals actually bought shares at the secondary last month. With a float of 40M it should not make much of a difference. CMRC for example now has a float of 12M shares.

It is interesting that CPQ has large holding in both CMGI and ICGE and still get it's share price up. I don't think that they can afford to sell, and I don't think the others want to.

JMHO

Mark, thanks for the Barron's info.

While I often disagree with Barron's analyses, I do think they make a point regarding ICGE. I am long a small portion of ICGE, but MUCH longer CMGI. I have been considering hedging my ICGE with puts or covered calls, and I think the time may be to do that.

Of course, I hope that the valuation of ICGE proves out to be realistic, and that CMGI's valuation catches up to theirs! :>)
