How has a stock that closed a year ago at 64 5/8 and closed yesterday at 82 gone nowhere?

you said "INTC int he past year has gone nowhere! We where we where last year!"

I make that a 27% gain

And the starting point of 64 5/8 exactly one year ago was at the top of a 13 week 65% run up (that's an annualised gain for those 13 weeks of 740%).

INTC has a tendency to sit around for a while and then run up substantially. My money (in the form of Feb 80 calls) says that we're about to see the run up.

Yaacov,

, I am afraid this company may has joined those have beens

Have you ever looked at the portfolio of companies that INTC either wholly or partially owns? 300+, with many internet plays(Foundry Networks to CNET). There is hidden value in this company probably like no other tech name. The morons on WS have not done their work on this one IMHO. In many ways, INTC could be called an interent play b/c of the companies they hold.

Yaacov - Re: "?? INTC int he past year has gone nowhere! We where we where last year! "

There you go again.

When Intel is zooming up, you are ABSENT from this thread.

When Intel takes a DIVE, you come in complaining that Intel has gone NOWHERE.

Well - you are WRONG.

On December 31,1998, Intel closed at around $59+ - and today it is at $82.

If that is NOWHERE to you, then , may I suggest you sell your Intel on Monday - and put your money in a stock that only goes up.

There are plenty of stocks that only go up - I'm sure you can easily find 15 or 20.

Yaacov - Re: "Now for most people one year is a long term! "

That's their problem.

I could give a sh*t about them.

>I have learned over years that big
>companies die to, in certain way

I am sure this is the case for Intel as well.

Why don't you place all your bets on rock-solid, proven companies "that don't die", such as AMZN, YHOO, RHAT, LNUX.

Or maybe wait for the next internut going public, maybe someone offering free on line seasons greetings.

>When do you think
>[INTC ] will catch up with the rest of
>performers in NASDQ?

that may take place sooner than you think, e.g. with the internuts in free fall as the bubble gets pierced.

(4 Noble prize winners 'consensus on this: the question is not IF, but WHEN )

Then you will see a magnificent xover.
