A hint for laptop owners ...

Those who power their laptops from household electricity most of the time and seldom run on batteries may want to remove the battery power indication from their SysTray. It's easy: Right click on the desktop and select properties. Click Screen Saver tab (Yes! Its an odd place for it.) and click the Settings button in the Energy saver section. Select Advanced tab and uncheck the Show Power Meter box. Just reverse the process when it's needed again.

P.S. The same place gives you a choice of demanding a password to go off Standby. I don't know how secure this protection would be?
