OT, in this particular case, I was focusing on the period between the second and third weeks of January 1999 and the beginning of April 1999, when AOL's stock experienced explosive growth, culminating in the previous top of $175 pre-split. That growth is reflected in the top chart. I'm hoping the pattern repeats this year.
