The consensus estimate for Thursday's report is $.63 geekland, In the past Intel has preannounced greater than expected earnings when the number exceeded the consensus by 5% or so. The absence of any announcement probably indicates a number close to the consensus. Anyway, barring any major surprises, last quarter will not be nearly as important as expectations going forward.
