Rande-

Perhaps you have some information about an abrupt change in ICGE's corporate strategy, but otherwise I'd be very surprised to see them attempt to purchase a large public company such as the ones you mentioned. It has been ICGE's methodology,as has been Safeguard's practice for years (and Safeguard management is still heavily involved at ICGE) to invest in early stage private companies, nurture them, and then perhaps bring them public. Any change would be surprising indeed.

I'm sure you know that ICGE already owns a big chunk of VERT.

rande, you imply, though hypothetically, that icge will use its inflated currency to buy other b2b players...doubt it...would be antithetical to who they are...they seed, water, prune and retain equity stakes...<<oh yeah, and they add their special sauce...GMAFB...>>

vert is a bad long term investment...their trade mag content model does not produce very much revenue...cmdx, with only a couple of verticals, has more revs than vert...

icge's plunge this year will be reminiscent of pcln's fall from 165...

so, so, so, so many more shares are going to be unlocked in the next 3 months...

you long termers feel confident b/c you have seen a few lock-ups go unnoticed in the past but i suggest you look at the numbers with icge...

the future supply is staggering...STAGGERING...100 million shares will come free in 2000...

henry blodgett plays the role of analyst whore with aplomb...he did it with pcln as well...icge is merrill's largest client...blodgett gets on his knees and maria bartiroma unzips the pants and the two go to work on icge's mgmt and VCs...the lemmings get excited...

we are dedicated sellers above 140...

". .because they bought the story of QCOM holding all the cards in the CDMA market. Yet IDC owns the patents on B-CDMA or Broadband CDMA, which certainly has more of a future than NON-BROADBAND CDMA."

are you certain about this......QCOM has more than a non-broadband CDMA!
