OT - datek.. there are tons of horror stories around on them but so far i am very pleased What sort of stories are there? should I worry about my holdings there? hivemind

I am not a daytrader but I am a very active trader. Fidelity has been fine for my needs. I like being able to have after-hour access but sure wish they would get their act together and allow pre-market trading. Don't understand why they haven't. As for the firm in Texas I use, they are pathetic. Server problems all of the time. Only reason I stay there is comfort level. I am a favored customer of theirs and get preferential treatment. But, it si starting to cost me money and I have to reevaluate. I sure wish either of them would allow call spreads in IRA accounts. No reason not to but neither do.
