The Insider?s Daily Fix - Did Someone Yell "Game On!"? T.MCF, INTA

January 6, 2000

?The market respects success but roots for failure?
-Anonymous

Those that believe in the ?new economy? buy into the optimism that technology and innovation
is the wealth creation engine that will continue to drive economic expansion. Prosperity and a
continued bull market in tech stocks is the product of this belief and the early disciples have
reaped very handsome rewards to date. The bull market isn?t going to be over in a day or a week,
with converts embracing the ?new economy? thinking daily.

Microforum [T.MCF] ? Following Infowave?s Lead?

Some of the biggest action we have seen over the past 52 weeks of all of the companies on our quote screen has been in Microforum, touching
a high of around C$12 last April around the time that the Dot Com companies and the Nasdaq reached a peak. We noticed that there was a
strong correlation between the move in MCF and another one of our favorites ? Infowave. In the last couple of months the Nasdaq index has
shattered all records, but our premier Dot Com company- T.MCF ? has been relatively quiet. We are hearing that listing Microforum on the
Nasdaq market is now in the hands of the company, as opposed to being in the hands of the regulators, which we all know can be a painfully
slow process. That being said, it is likely that management will want to start things off in the US with a bang, and not the type of guys that
would bring a knife to a gunfight. (Read: there?s an ace in the hole). Our sources hint that financials for the third quarter (ending November ?99)
are to be released in the next week and expect strong numbers. We are watching closely for T.MCF to spark to life, as its Canadian running mate
?T.IW ? has run far ahead and the stock has a lot of ground to gain.

Intasys [INTA] ? Incubator in the Making

The principle behind Venture Capital firms that invest in start-ups is that for every one winner, you?ll have sunk money into 9 losers. The
leverage of being there in the early stage allows for that one success to make up for the losers and then some. As Intasys has only recently
transformed themselves from a wireless billing service company to the ?incubator? and venture capital company model, there are some obvious
signs of early success. Intasys sank about $5 million into a company called interWAVE only 7 months ago, acquiring 715,000 shares at $7 as
well as an equal amount of warrants at the sweet price of $1. Last month we saw interWAVE file a registration for an IPO, with a contemplated
price of $11 per share and backed by a number of first tier underwriters including Salomon Smith Barney and SG Cowan. Read the news HERE.
We are hearing that the IPO for interWAVE could be completed by the end of January and that their management is embarking on a grueling
road show to institutional investors. It is important to note that Nortel Networks [T.NT] is a major shareholder of InterWAVE, owning about
24% of the stock. We can see Intasys making a serious hit on InterWAVE and this should bolster the company?s credibility and treasury for
future shrewd investments.
