Mark, for italics type < i >texttexttext< / i>
For bold, replace the i by a b.
Leave the spaces out.

Mark,

I know your price model is not predictive. But I am trying to look at the pre-cursor of price change. Factors such as inventory glut, or currency advantage, or faltering demand.

Here is bullish anecdote. The Compaq computer that I bought for my son before Christmas for $549 is now discontinued. A new model of similar specifications (Presario 7360) costs $699. And is the lowest priced PC in the Compaq on-line store. If their demand wasn't good, they could never get away with that price rise.

To do italics place the letter "i" within a "< >" enclosure. To go back to regular type, use "/i" within the <> signs.

I appreciate your cautious approach, and I am not as confident as I sound, but objectively, I don't see the signs of trouble for disk drive pricing, yet. Other than saying that historically, for the past couple of years prices dropped in January. But the drop is not tied to the calendar. It is caused by factors that occurred at that time. Those factors are absent now.
