<I do beleive AMD at the moment has a highly competitive position now relative to mid range and high end consumer desktop. Once Willamette comes out this year, it remains to be seen if the "seventh generation Athlon" can keep up with Inte'ls seventh generation offerings. And in the interim, I believe Coppermine will give Athlon a run for its money. Does anyone out there still think 800 is the top for Cumine?> Cocky as ever. PB, RE:"Does anyone out there still think 800 is the top for Cumine?"... I don't think anyone here doesn't think Intel has done a comendable job scramblin' the P6 core to high MHz. I don't think anyone thinks Intel can't get a couple more speed grades out of old Betsy, either. I understand your pride but sooner or later old Betsy is headed for the glue factory. The steroids will take their toll. Jim
