Any known reason for the jump?
I think it may be related to the fact that NUOA apparently owns shares in HRCT so it has been reported at RB on the HRCT thread by DA!

OK, here's a copy of that list from the annual report:

Dr. Alan V. Phan 2,891,520(3) 14.3%
19104 South Norwalk Boulevard
Artesia, California 90701

Frederic Cohn 100,000 *
19104 South Norwalk Boulevard
Artesia, CA 90701

James Pruzin and Antoinette Pruzin J/T 2,500,000(6) 12.4%
931 E. Calle Mariposa
Tucson, AZ 85718

Dragon King Investment Services, Ltd. 880,000(7) 4.4%
c/o Fred Luke
4521 Campus Drive
Irvine, CA 92512

C0DE & Co. 6,807,670(5) 33.7%
55 Water Street 2SL
New York, NY 10041

NuOasis International, Inc. 1,300,000(4) 6.4%
2 Park Plaza, Suite 470
Irvine, California 92714

All officers and directors 2,991,520 14.8%
as a group

Note that Luke and Lawver were not Directors at the time of this Annual Report, so could not
have owned any of that aggregate amount. But take a look at the shares owned by Dragon King
Investment Services. Do you see Fred Luke's name there? Also, note that Dragon King is listed
in the filing as a subsidiary of NuOasis International. If Luke is associated with Dragon King,
then he obviously would be associated with NuOasis. Look how many shares NuOasis holds.
(It was given these as part of the payment for the Peony Gardens commercial property in
Beijing that Hartcourt purchased from NuOasis back in 1996, I believe.)

Luke therefore may control (or be associated with) 3,430,000 shares of Hartcourt stock.

1,000,000 (options granted in April 99)
250,000 (shares given Dec. 99 for continued consulting services)
880,000 (Dragon King Investments)
+ 1,300,000 (NuOasis International)
___________
3,430,000 total shares

With that many shares at his disposal, I think that Fred Luke can have a pretty large impact on
the Hartcourt share price.

Do you think that Fred Luke might be a poster on this board?

If he was, what stance do you think he would take? Would he be a SunYatsen? Or a tom?

If he would be a tom, do you think that he might be in some way associated with the basher that
Fred Cohn said Hartcourt was monitoring?

I have no idea what the answers to the above questions are. But the questions sure as heck
are intriguing aren't they?

Da!
