You are fixated on MMs - the majority of my post was about specialists (NYSE).

So what is the problem? Say your contention is correct: MMs are selling when you want to buy and buying when you want to sell and the result is wilder swings in prices. Why bet against them instead of with them? Good bad or indifferent, MMs are just one more variable that effect stock prices. Your job as an investor is to go with the flow not try to swim against the current. Until they elect one of us investors the God of Investing and we can change it, why not play the cards that are dealt you?

I am not MM or specialist, just another idiot investor like yourself.
