Welcome to the Year Two Thousand Bear cub!

You sound so mellow and pleasant. That new Den, location and life there must have been a good change for you.

Hibernation should be an annual occasion for all of us!

Good luck with the option game by wireless. Maybe you should wait until after February 29th though!<big grin>

Puna

bearcub,
Nice to have you back. On Jan 31st as the new year was ringing in, and my confidence was improving, minute by minute, we had a great party.

Saturday morning I felt elation similar to what I experienced when I came home from my 1969 vacation in Viet Nam. Little things meant so much. A long hot shower, flush toilets, good refrigerated food, solid stock market gains, a family, magnificent and intact, and no anti-aircraft fire! Unless you've experience that last part, you groundpounders haven't lived. (ggg)

In retirement, every night is Friday night and every morning is Saturday morning. I have no deadlines but those imposed by the IRS. Reminder: We independent types have a quarterly tax payment due on Jan 18.

I thought a good Y2K shakedown would have had one really positive effect: imploding the federal tax code. Too bad.

Bill

Bearcub, could you please give some more info on the "housecall" virus site on the net? It sounds like this could be an invaluable resource.

Sincerely,
RFH

Thank you bearcub! I did not do too badly, keeping my long term LEAP put positions to a "bear" minimum <g>, and picking up some pretty good bargains in beaten down stocks along the way.
It is almost always a good idea to be on the lookout for new and dangerous viruses, and to backup our data just in case something wipes out the ol' hard drive. Here in Yogi's starcave, we try to keep at least two different computers in good working order with similar information and systems on them, just in case one of them blows a gasket!
That is a good idea not to jump back into the options game too soon, as it is usually better to get a good "feel" for what the current conditions and trends are before trying to turn a sow's ear into a "silk purse"! <G> All my best, Yogi
