I have heard that point made in reference to markets where market makers are actually used as intermediaries... but, I don't see that there is a problem in doing a market order on the TSE or CDNX. ?

When I use market orders, I know I take the chance of the stock making a large and sudden move before my order is executed, but the times I have paid a dime more than I anticipated are balanced by the times where the stock moved suddenly down and I saved a dime....
